Google Brings Back Voice Call Via Hangouts

Google Hangouts Allows Voice Call, Once Again

If you have been using Gmail, Google+, and the Chrome extension via Google Hangouts messaging system, here is some good news. Now you can make voice calls from these channels.

On Tuesday, Google announced that it has restored the voice call via Hangouts feature.

Voice Calls Get Simpler

Over the next few days, you will be able to place calls from your Gmail, Google+, and the Chrome extension. Moreover, you can talk to 10 users at a time. Even more, calls to the U.S. and Canada will be free of charge via Hangouts.

Google said that this is just the beginning and that users will “start to see more Google Voice features integrated into Hangouts over time.”

In May, the search engine giant had rolled out an update that prevented users from making phone calls. Today’s news comes as a welcome surprise.
