Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch has a 10-hour battery life. The smartwatch will have 1GB of RAM. Moreover, you can choose the onboard storage- 6GB or 8GB.
A source at the Samsung warehouse facility said that the smartwatch will have a 2.5-inch, 320 x 320 OLED display. The screen, as stated earlier, will NOT be flexible. The smartwatch will house a 4MP camera, which would offer 720p video recording capability. There are rumors that the smartwatch will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 4212 dual core processor that would clock 1.5GHz. Reports also suggest that the Samsung smartwatch will carry a Mali-400 MP4 GPU.
The Galaxy Gear will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and sensors such as Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, GPS and an accelerometer. It is said that the wrist strap will house the speakers on the smartwatch. While the 4GB and 8GB onboard storage options may not seem much, they are not a turn off for a smartwatch. Moreover, the 10-hour battery life (not clear though) does not put the smartwatch on the same level as any good smartphone.
