Spice Girl Melanie B announced a possible reunion of the Spice Girls. During the Friday’s episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Mel B hinted another reunion of the once successful girl band. The Spice Girls already had a brief reunion for the 2012 Olympic Games.
‘I’m hoping in the next year or two, when everyone’s cleared their diary a little bit’, Mel told Ellen. Ellen then suggested to reunite on the Ellen Show.
The British pop girl group ‘The Spice Girls’ was formed in 1994 in London. The band consisted of five members Melanie Brown (Mel B), Melanie Chisholm (Mel C), Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham (Adams).
The SpiceGirls were also famous for their nicknames, Scary, Sporty, Baby, Ginger and Posh Spice. The nicks were given to them by the Top of the Pops Magazine.
In 1998, Geri Halliwell left the band and the SpiceGirls announced a break to concentrate on their solo careers. In 2007, the Spice Girls released a Greatest Hits album. Also in 2007, the original band made its last world tour, which grossed $100 Million.
In June 2012, the Spice Girls reunited to promote their Musical ‘Viva Forever’. In August 2012, the band performed at the Olympic Summer Games.
