Actor Joe Conley, who was known for his role as storekeeper Ike Godsey in the TV series ‘The Waltons’, died at the age of 85.
According to Conley’s wife, the actor suffered from dementia, and died in a care facility last Sunday.
Joe Conley was born on March 3, 1928 in Buffalo, New York. He started his acting career in the 1950′s.
Conley starred in the series ‘The Waltons’ for 172 episodes. He also appeared in the TV series ‘Mr. Ed’ and ‘Gunsmoke’.
His last movie appearance was in the movie ‘Castaway’ alongside Tom Hanks.
Conley is survived by his wife Louise and his four children Kevin, Julie, Erin and Jana.
